Status

Every component, and what state it is really in.

Uptime is the wrong question before launch and the only question after it. Until then, the honest report is what exists: which surfaces are built and tested, which depend on a certification that has not been issued, and which have not been started. Nothing below is rounded up.

No live traffic yet. WynkPay has not launched. No merchant is trading on the platform and no consumer money has moved through it, so there is no availability figure to publish and none is claimed. This page reports build and certification state instead. It becomes a live availability and incident feed on the day the first merchant goes live.

Components

Build and certification state, reviewed at every release. No availability figure is published because no live traffic exists.
ComponentStateDetail
Closed-loop paymentsBuilt and testedRail detection, the fast path, settlement finality and the PayShap fallback are implemented and tested, including the cases where a rail cannot say whether it wrote.
EMVCo QR — present and scanBuilt and testedStatic and dynamic merchant-presented QR, interoperable with bank scanners. One known limitation: a merchant with a separate till identifier cannot yet present a dynamic QR, because the WynkPay data template overflows the EMVCo field limit. Single-till merchants are unaffected.
PayShap open loopBlocked on certificationImplemented against the PayShap Phase 1 proxy model and exercised in test. Live participation is reached through a sponsor bank, which is not yet in place.
Tap-to-phone (Softpos)Blocked on certificationIntegrated with the Halo.dot CPoC kernel, including offline floor limits and daily exposure caps. Cannot be enabled for merchants until the solution-level CPoC assessment completes.
VAS — eight tiersBuilt and testedOne catalogue, aggregator routing across three suppliers with a fault matrix, commission calculation and an offline voucher cache. Supplier contracts are commercial rather than technical work and are not signed.
Credit — advance, stock, BNPL, overdraftBlocked on certificationAffordability rules, NCA-shaped pricing, the annual cost rate and repayment schedules are implemented and tested. No credit can be extended before National Credit Regulator registration is granted.
Wholesale HubBuilt and testedSupplier catalogues, baskets, stock-on-credit application and delivery tracking are built. Live supplier onboarding has not begun.
Sunmi terminals and Comms BoxPartly builtThe terminal management service, heartbeat, remote configuration and staged firmware rollout are built. The native Android POS application is built against the vendor SDK but has not been run on production hardware.
Sponsor-bank settlementNot startedISO 20022 message construction is built, but there is no sponsor-bank connection, no test file exchange and no settlement account. This is the single largest dependency before launch.
This websiteBuilt and testedLive and serving. The interactive demonstrations execute the platform's own packages at build time and in your browser; none of them reaches a production system.

When it is live

How an incident will be told, and to whom.

Once merchants are trading, the commitment is that a merchant hears about a problem from us before they hear about it from a customer at the counter. The mechanics are already built — every terminal and Comms Box reports a heartbeat, and a device that stops checking in raises a ticket automatically.

  • Anything affecting the ability to take payment is posted here within fifteen minutes of detection, whether or not the cause is understood.
  • Affected merchants are notified directly by SMS, not only by a page they would have to think to visit.
  • A payment that settled stays settled. If a notification failed but the money moved, the transaction record is the truth and the balance will already show it.
  • A written post-mortem is published for any incident that prevented merchants from trading for more than thirty minutes.
